CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES BASE & COVER: The Meter Base, Cover & T-Cover are made of pressed steel sheet of adequate thickness to Protect meter components against rough handling. All are pre-treated And given a heavy coating of synthetic stoving enamel paint which makes Then rust proof even in worst tropical conditions. Alternatively Fully Transparent Polycarbonate base, Cover & T-Cover are also available. Ultrasonic weldind of Polycarbonate base and cover can be provided for temper proof sealing.

METER FRAME: T, Block is made of non hygroscopic Bakelite material (which is fixed inside & outside the meter base) having high dielectric strength. A flat gasket provided between the block and the base prevents ingress of dust and moisture. Each terminal carries two tightening brass screws for external connection.

ELECTRO MAGNETS: The voltage electromagnets and current electromagnets are made of high grade silicon steel sheet varnished laminations of low watt loss quality forming cores. Supper enameled copper wire of suitable section wound on thermoplast or flame retardent material. The end connections of voltage coil is reinforced to absorb surge current electromagnet consists of 'U' shape laminated core carries the series of winding of high quality enameled copper wire.

ROTOR MECHANISM: The rotor disc is made of high purity Aluminium sheet moulded with a stainless steel shaft. For testing and calibration, the disc is graduated with hundred divisions.

POLY PHASE: Meters are with two disc. The rotor disc can be taken Out, without distributing the brake magnet or any other adjustment.

BRAKE MAGNET: Brake magnet is made of Four Pole ALNICO grade V/VI material which is permanent magnet material. Its high coerectivity makes it immune to the effects of external magnetic field. Adjustments: All adjustments sufficient range can be easily operated by means of a screw driver from the front.
  1. Full Load Adjustment: This adjustment is available by moving the 4 pole magnet in the marked direction which will change the breaking torqueon the disc of the meter. In three phase meters, torque balancing of elements is also provided.
  2. Low Load Adjustment: This adjustment is available through a resistance loop which can vary the current flux on the disc.
  3. Inductive Load Adjustment: This adjustment is archieved by balancing the effect of voltage circuit flux on the disc.
