Technical Features :
To suit typical circuit and market requirements MCB's are manufactured in two different categories.
B Type (L Series) : This series is specially suitable for protection of equipment like Ovens, GLS lamps , Geysers and general electrical lighting systems. The magnetic tripping of B types MCB starts, above 4 times of the rated current.
C Type ( G Series ) : are designed to protect circuits with inductive loads like motor and generator etc The magnetic tripping commences above 5 times the rated current

MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKERS (M.C.B)
MCB, is an advanced technology Miniature Circuit Breaker, specialy designed to control and protect all types Electrical installation as well as commercial and industrial appliances. BENTEX-Linger MCB safeguard the installations against damage resulting short circuit fault and circuit overloads and also serves unique dual purpose of both a switch as well as fuse.BENTEX-Linger MCB's are conforming to IS 8828-96. There are available in SP,DP,TP,TPN & FP.
FEATURES :

MCB's are compact in size ,covering entire range of B Type (L Series), C Type (G Series) and "DC" Series, from 0.5 to 100 Amps and isolators upto 63 Amps. Bentex-Linger MCB's are using internationally accepted design and technology.

MCB's Life expectancy are tested for 1,0,000 mechanical operations and 25,000electrical operations thereby making the MCB a life service device
Current Limiting Features: Are available in single and multiple version with or without neutral breaking. This guarantees universal application: especially suitable for installations with a heavy short- circuit and in load up to 10 KA. Under short- circuit conditions high values of over current occur.Under these circumstances a plunger in the solenoid moves with sufficient force to physically separate the contacts.
Thermal Release:Small overloads are detected by a finally calibrated bimetal element. If the current is greater than the rated current of MCB, the deflection bimetal will be sufficient to trip the MCB .
Magnetic Release:When a over current of between 3 to 5 times rated current for B Type(L Series) and 5 to 10 times rated current of C types( G series) MCB changes from thermal to magnetic. The MCB will trip in less than 100 m sec. This is the reason of instaneous tripping.

CONTACTS : Contacts are made of pure silver. This provides definite advantages of MCB

MCB, such as low contact resistance reduces voltage drop and reduction in power loss. It helps to low heat generation: quick arc removal and thereby long life.

MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT:
MCB's can be installed on Standard(35 mm)DIN Bars by a simple snap action. The MCB mounting is easy tube snapped on and can be removed easily from DIN Bar.

MECHANICAL INTERLOCKING OF MULTIPLE MCB's : The tripping mechanism of all
multiple MCB's is connected internally. This ensures simultaneous tripping of all poles even if the fault occurs in any one of the phases ,thus preventing single phase.
